Our containers are completely portable – that’s the beauty of them. We offer a load and go service where we can still bring the container to your door, load it for you and securely store it until you need it back. No driveway, no problem for PODS!

We can also sometimes leave the container outside your property (similar to a skip) for the day so you still get all the benefits of being able to load yourself and then we collect and store as normal.

Unless there is a specific regulation or issue that defines the amount of time a container may be placed at your location, you may keep it for as long as you need.

Many people keep their PODS container while they renovate, decorate after moving house, during building works or for business use.

You can book online or get a quote and give a member of the team a call to book and pay.

We will send your online contract, process payment and talk you through the process before your initial delivery or service is booked and confirmed.

Usually, we charge the initial delivery/transport fee and 1st 4 weeks of storage up to 5 days in advance of delivery. Depending on the service full payment may be required 5 days before your booking or in advance of this depending on your service and our availability. We charge your storage/hire fees every 4 weeks from the date that the container was delivered.

PODS moving costs are always paid for in advance. PODS storage costs are paid 4 weeks in advance and then in 4 week blocks with any unused full weeks being fully refunded at the end of your contract.

You can pay online, over the phone by debit or credit card or by BACS.

You must give at least 3 days notice to cancel the order or a cancellation fee will be charged. We do ask that if you are going to cancel that you do so by calling PODS at least 3 days before you’re scheduled delivery to avoid charges.

Failure to give the adequate notice may incur your delivery fee to be held. When cancelling your order you must call and speak to a member of the team.
If you cancel and give at least 3 working days notice then your payment will be fully refunded.

PODS storage rent is due prior to the day the container is delivered (we usually take payment 5 days prior to delivery) and continues on a 4 week payment cycle thereafter until you have finished using the container.

Because we charge in 4 week blocks, your payment will not be due on the same date each month.

We accept most major credit cards and online payment as well as BACS and standing orders.

PODS accept most major debit and credit cards and payment via standing order or BACS. PODS’ payment cycle begins on the day of initial delivery and continues so the payment is due every 4 weeks thereafter.
We also ask that you set up a direct debit for ongoing storage payments and a link will be emailed to you to do this upon booking.

PODS storage costs are charged every 4 weeks.

PODS does refund any full unused weeks after your initial 4 weeks of hire. We offer excellent value and will work with you when scheduling to take advantage of the payment cycle to minimise the stress in scheduling your move.

We try to keep our storage costs as fair and as flexible as possible.

Your invoices are emailed 1 or more days prior to them being due or you can request a paper copy of your invoices. Call our customer service team on 0161 300 9712 if you have any queries or questions.

In order to place a PODS container on your property we need a clearance of 12 feet in width and 15 feet in height with no steep inclines, low branches or wires.

Our PODS containers fit in a standard parking bay once placed but we need 12 feet of width for our lifting system and delivery truck.

Yes we can!

We just need to make sure there is enough room to get our PODS truck in and out of the car park and spaces either side of the space we are delivering the container to need to be empty.

Delivery can be made if you are not available, just be sure you provide specific delivery instructions at the time you place your order. It is recommended that you confirm access and delivery arrangements prior to delivery to prevent a failed delivery. All applicable paperwork and a padlock if you have purchased one, will be left for you inside the container or posted through your door.

Yes that’s fine. We have a short term hire option of up to 2 weeks or our standard rates are paid in 4 week blocks.

You don’t have to keep the container for the full 2 or 4 week initial period but no refunds for unused weeks are given during the initial hire/rental period.

PODS containers are designed to allow for partial household loads. There are eye hooks for tie downs every 4 feet and throughout the container that permit securing the load.

We also have our smaller storage units from 35sqft. We come to you and load them up before taking them away to be securely stored.

No, although we recommend that someone be present whenever possible. Our deliveries and pick-ups may occur at any time between 8am and 4pm. We will aim to give you an ETA on the day and at the day before will be able to provide an AM or PM delivery slot.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that there is adequate clearance and accessibility for the desired location of the container. Full details can be see on our PODZilla delivery page.

Delivery time depends on a variety of factors, which include availability of delivery vehicles and the distance to the delivery location. PODS scheduling technology provides the flexibility to meet your moving needs.

If we are moving your container on “moving day” we will try our best to fit in with your schedules.

We aim to re-deliver on your chosen date or as close to it as we can.

PODS allow you to pack your PODS container at your leisure. There are no deadlines, time pressure, you move when you are ready.

PODS can arrange for either the loading or unloading of your container, or we can provide both. Our flexible scheduling allows for adequate time to load the PODS container at your leisure.

For loading or unloading your PODS container has to have an element of storage. We cannot load and unload your container the same day as it becomes a traditional removal service.

Yes we do have some restricted items for safety.

Hazardous Materials such as toxic chemicals, gas, liquids, substance, material or waste, lawn mowers, motorized vehicles and illegal items cannot be placed in a PODS Container.
We also recommend that heirlooms, irreplaceable artifacts, deeds, legal notices, forms of currency and items that are not your personal property are not placed in the Container. Please refer to your agreement for additional restrictions on what cannot be stored in the Container. Full terms and conditions can be provided on request.

HUMAN OR ANIMAL HABITATION IS ALSO SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITED.

We recommend wrapping, boxing and protecting all items where possible.

Large items of furniture can be protected with moving and storage blankets, mattress protectors for mattresses, shrink wrap, bubble wrap and sheets.

For additional protection, tie down your items to prevent shifting during transit.

Additional tips are located in most Containers. Put heavy items at the bottom and lighter items at the top. Remember you can fill wardrobes or storage units once they are inside the container to maximise the space.

If we collect and store your container you can still access your things when you need to.

You can schedule access to your container by contacting member of the customer care team. All we ask is for 24-48 hours notice when you wish to access your PODS container and you can have access 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

There is no additional charge for this service.

Our storage facility is located at M12 5AQ (just outside Manchester City Centre) off Hyde Road.

We have full CCTV, 24/7 security and your container is inside and undercover at all times. Access is by appointment only.

All PODS are lockable.

We recommend a 2 ¾” (70mm) Disc Lock. Recommended locks can be purchased from PODS for just £10.00 + VAT.

Cars and motorised vehicles can’t be placed in a PODS container.
